 HELIOS IV is an innovative instrument: portable, non-invasive and based on a solid state sensor.

A versatile instrument, it operates with no fixed geometry!
It performs measurement in situ and on production lines.
Get fast, precise and repeatable measurement of diffusible hydrogen content in metallic samples, semi-products and products.

HELIOS IV can be used to:

  • Diffusible hydrogen content measurement in Sour Environments, Oil&Gas Plants;
  • Measuring diffusible hydrogen content to avoid Hydrogen Delayed Fracture (AUTOMOTIVE, Aerospace, Fastners and bolts);
  • Corrosion Monitoring in chemical industry;
  • Hydrogen Induced Cracking monitoring;
  • Hydrogen Damage Control (Steel Construction, Nuclear Industry, Welding process…)
  • Laboratory instrument for R&D applications.

Once acquired, the signal that depends on the hydrogen flux in the examined component, is processed by proper mathematical codes (on the dedicated PC) to assess the hydrogen diffusible content.
